We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Hampton Inn Danbury. Near Danbury Fair, venues, and businesses, - our Hampton Inn by Hilton, with 116 beautifully appointed guest rooms, is located off I-84, we’re a half-mile from shops, restaurants, and corporate office parks, and 10 minutes from Danbury Fair mall and Tarrywile Park & Mansion. Our guests enjoy Candlewood Lake only four miles away, and weddings at The Candlewood Inn and The Waterview are within 25 minutes. The Hampton Inn Danbury is one of the 50 hotels owned and managed by the award winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.
A Housekeeping Supervisor, oversees and supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies by performing the following duties.
- Maintains cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that standards are met.
- Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
- Trains or re-trains staff on proper housekeeping procedures when needed.
- In absence of Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the housekeeping department supervision.
- Cleans rooms and public areas as assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
- Working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- Able to work flexible shifts. - Must have open and weekend/holiday availability. Shifts begin 8:30am during the week; 9:30am during the weekend.
- One year previous supervisory housekeeping experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
- And most importantly an engaging personality.
