This is a full-time on-site role for an Ophthalmic Assistant, located in Tonawanda, NY. The Ophthalmic Assistant will be responsible for assisting the ophthalmologist with patient examinations, conducting basic diagnostic tests, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining examination equipment. The role also includes tasks such as obtaining medical histories, educating patients about eye care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
- Experience in patient care, including obtaining medical histories and educating patients about eye care
- Skills in conducting diagnostic tests and assisting with patient examinations
- Proficiency in maintaining and preparing examination equipment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant or relevant training and experience
