Tax Specialist

Buffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and is currently seeking a Tax Specialist to report to our President and oversee the business financials. The ideal candidate will have five or more years experience in a related industry as the primary point of contact in their organization for finance.

Responsibilities

• Strong contributor to the organizational tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function
• Completes accurate tax returns to minimize the tax obligations of the organization
• Research, monitor, and learn appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations
• Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions
• Coordinating, facilitating and resolving all taxing authority inquiries and audits
• Keeping up-to-date with and advising others of organization-related tax regulations at the federal, state and local levels

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 years of related experience
• Fluency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role

Pay: $100,000 plus Bonus opportunity

• M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
