Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Teacher specializing in Ballroom and Latin dance styles. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, in a supportive and engaging environment. This role involves designing lesson plans, demonstrating dance techniques, and fostering a love for dance while ensuring safety and proper technique. The Dance Teacher will play a key role in helping students achieve their dance goals and develop confidence on the dance floor.

Duties

• Conduct engaging and comprehensive dance classes focused on Ballroom and Latin styles for diverse age groups and skill levels.
• Demonstrate proper dance techniques, including posture, footwork, timing, and partner work.
• Develop lesson plans tailored to individual or group needs, ensuring progressive learning.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their skills and confidence.
• Create a positive and motivating classroom environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes to prevent injuries.
• Organize and oversee practice sessions or performances when applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dance studio or teaching space.
• Stay updated with current dance trends and techniques within Ballroom and Latin disciplines.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching Ballroom and Latin dance styles.
• Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and performance skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct students effectively.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring others to learn dance.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Physical fitness to demonstrate dance moves clearly and safely.
• Certification or formal training in dance instruction is preferred but not mandatory if extensive practical experience is demonstrated.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for class schedules or performances.

Pay: $18.00 - $48.00 per hour
