Assistant Store Manager

SUMMARY 

The Assistant Store Manager position at Buff City Soap is responsible for maintaining a high-energy, positive work environment where behaviors that support guest-centric service are consistently demonstrated. The position helps drive Makery performance, fosters superior guest service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity goals. The Assistant Store Manager fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Monitor and manage daily operations of the Makery in a fast-paced environment.
● Lead by example in all company operations including creating a guest-centric experience, meeting personal sales expectations, and creating quality products.
● Maintain a professional and impeccably clean Makery environment.
● Establish clear goals and objectives for Soap Makers.
● Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Soap Makers’ daily performance.
● Manage and track stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
● Generate sales reports, maintain inventory and production, and assist with other Makery Manager functions.
● Assist the Makery Manager in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
● Accurate cash handling when opening and closing the Makery

QUALIFICATIONS: 
● College education is preferred but not required.
● 1-2 years of Guest Service experience
● Experience supervising others and leading a team to achieve results
● Able to communicate effectively at all levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
● Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
● Ability to lift or assist in lifting items up to 50lbs.
● Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist,and stoop, kneel or crouch.
● Ability to perform Makery cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
