What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse position at Buena Vista Regional Medical Ctr?

Part time, 3 days per week. Coordinate acute and rehabilitative care for patients with wounds, ulcers, and ostomies. Provides education and support for patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff regarding wound, ostomy and continence care. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience. Current Iowa RN license required. BLS within 90 days of hire.  Advanced education in Wound Care or willingness to compete advanced education preferred. Opportunity for advancement after obtaining Wound Care Certification.
