What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend X-ray Tech/ CT Tech position at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center?
Work Schedule
Full Time 64hrs per pay period. Weekend package Saturday and Sunday, Holiday and On-call involvement. Opportunity for additional PRN hours.
Provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging procedures to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, physicians and customers in and outside the Radiology Department. Responsible for general x-ray, C-arm and CT exams and all related office duties and paperwork.
Duties:
- Demonstrates the ability to perform high quality CT Procedures and Radiographic Procedures
- Operating all radiographic equipment as trained, in a safe manner, and demonstrating competency and care of such equipment
- Follow radiation protection standards for patients, self and others
- Assists with front office/clerical duties when necessary
- Participates in identification of quality and safety concerns
- Assist with supplies/ inventory, cleanliness of department as needed
Qualifications of Radiologic/CT Technologist
- ARRT(R) Certification
- IDPH permit to practice
- BLS/CPR certified
- Mandatory reporter
- Experience preferred but will consider new graduates
- CT experience preferred
- CT certification is required within two years of hire
