The Buehler’s Food Service Assistant is a key position within the Food Service Department. This position has the opportunity to support Restaurant Operations. They work closely with their manager and co-workers to make sure that the customer has an exceptional experience either while shopping in our store or dining in our restaurant. Two of our company strategies are to become the Best in Food Service and The Freshest Foods and that starts with one meal or shopping trip at a time.

Food Service Support will perform a variety of duties in various Food Service departments. Duties assigned to a Food Service Support can vary by day and will be assigned based on the needs of the business including off-site at catered events.
A typical day for a Food Service Support may include:
FOH – Restaurant
- Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned promptly after customers leave
- Great and Seat guests when needed
- Assist with mentoring new employees
- Ensure the dining room is spotless – table, floors, walls – everything
- Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
BOH – Food Prep Area
- Wash all dirty dishes and put them away in their assigned areas
- Put away daily deliveries
- Maintain a spotless area and assist with cleaning as needed in BOH
- Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards

Our legal team wants you to know what’s required for this role:
- Minimum 16 years of age
- You may occasionally be required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
- You will need manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- You don’t mind our kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise
