Position Overview:
Buds and Blooms, Inc. is looking for a creative and customer-focused Full-Time Florist to join our team! This role involves crafting beautiful bouquets, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an inviting shop atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Floral Design & Arrangement
- Create elegant and visually appealing floral bouquets and custom arrangements.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and personalizing their orders.
- Ensure timely and efficient setup of floral displays and special event arrangements.
Customer Engagement
- Provide warm, professional service to customers, helping them choose the perfect flowers and gifts.
- Offer expert advice on flower care and arrangement options.
Sales & Upselling
- Confidently recommend complementary products such as vases, chocolates, and greeting cards to enhance purchases.
Shop Maintenance & Organization
- Maintain a well-stocked and organized inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies.
- Keep the shop clean, welcoming, and visually appealing.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with a small, dynamic team to support daily shop operations.
- Assist in various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Strong Communication Skills
- Effectively communicate with customers in person and over the phone, providing excellent service and professional advice.
Service Areas:
- Primary Delivery Areas: Longs, Little River, & North Myrtle Beach, SC
- North Carolina: Calabash & Ash
- Limited Delivery Service: Loris, Conway, & Myrtle Beach, SC
Qualifications:
Required:
- At least one year of experience as a Florist
- Strong knowledge of different flowers, plants, and greenery
- Excellent design skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Preferred:
- Two or more years of florist experience
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with a flexible schedule (30-40 hours per week).
- Additional hours may be available during peak seasons.
- Work environment includes both the showroom and floral storage spaces, which may have varying temperatures.
