About the Role:

The CNC Machinist at Budney Aerospace will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating and programming CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision components for aerospace applications. This position requires a deep understanding of technical drawings and specifications to ensure that all parts meet stringent quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and conducting regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the CNC Machinist will collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Ultimately, this role is vital in ensuring that Budney Aerospace delivers high-quality products that meet the demands of the aerospace industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with milling and turning operations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in machining technology or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and practices.
  • Certification in CNC machining or related areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling or turning machines according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools and materials for each job and ensure proper machine calibration.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong proficiency in CNC programming and machine operation, which are essential for producing high-quality aerospace components. Attention to detail is critical, as the machinist must ensure that all parts are manufactured to precise specifications. Openings available on first shift (7am-3:30pm) and second shift (3:30pm - midnight)

Salary : $28 - $40
