Responsibilities
As a Service Manager Trainee, you will learn and assist with the daily operations of our vehicle service and fleet management functions. Responsibilities may include:
- Inspecting rental vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and overall condition
- Identifying vehicle makes, models, and basic automotive features
- Coordinating vehicle movement and availability
- Assisting with vehicle preparation and service needs
- Communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, and management
- Maintaining accurate records and completing required paperwork
- Performing basic mathematical calculations related to vehicle and rental operations
- Helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer needs professionally
- Learning company procedures, policies, and fleet-management operations
Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate Should
- Have knowledge of automotive makes and models and general knowledge of automobiles
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be a quick learner and willing to accept training and direction
- Have good communication and basic math skills
- Possess strong customer-service skills
- Be dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to safely perform the physical functions of the position, including bending, climbing a 12-foot ladder, walking approximately 2–3 miles during a workday, and lifting up to 70 pounds
- Be comfortable working in an active airport and vehicle-rental environment
