Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience working in a warehouse or production setting. As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality and safety standards are met throughout the production process.
This is a 1st shift position, M-F.
Our production team works in a manufacturing environment which contributes to our material science division through production of metal treatment products. This position is responsible for producing, shipping/receiving, and completing inventory control tasks ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key duties include operating conveyors, valves, forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks, conducting inbound and outbound inspections, and maintaining quality standards. The role also involves performing physical inventory counts, following hazardous material handling procedures, and keeping a clean and organized warehouse using 5S methodology.
Responsibilities
- Operates conveyors, valves, forklifts, cranes, in a production environment
- Measures ingredients and records quantity, batch number, material number accurately
- Must properly and safely handle and store hazardous material
- Performs minor maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, blenders, sieves)
- Lifts and stacks products for customer shipping
- Maintains company standards for cleanliness, safety, productivity
- Ensures compliance to quality, OSHA, and cGMP's support programs
- Assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards
- Wraps and stacks pallets of products to ship to customers
Qualifications
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability for tasks.
- Reliable, self-motivated and brings a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, or manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
