Bicycle Shop Sales Associate

Job Title: Retail Associate
Job Purpose: Make Buddy Pegs customers feel welcome, informed and prepared to purchase the right equipment to increase their families STOKE around riding bikes.

Key Performance Areas
While this position is primarily focused on ‘front of the house’ retail related tasks, all team members must be willing and ready to flex outside of their primary duties when needed to ensure team success. Communication and patience will be critical skills throughout the whole team.

Be a retail representative on the Buddy Pegs showroom floors:

• Greet customers
• Operate our point of sale system
• Keep showroom clean and organized

Check in and out work orders while communicating with the customer:

• Properly operate our point of sale system to monitor work orders

Answer call in questions pertaining to bike sales and future programming.Be familiar with all of the products stocked Buddy Pegs and help customers understand how these items can improve their riding experience:

• Provide technical knowledge about bike components and capabilities helping increase sales & customer experienceElevate the Buddy Pegs retail floor by making sales that improve our customers' riding journey:

• Listen to what our customers need and then provide educated advice on what items could accomplish the requested objective
• Make suggestions on missing items not on the retail floor

Key Performance Indicators

• Sales generated
• Cleanliness and STOKE factor when entering Buddy Pegs retail space
• Clear & timely communication with customers
• Customer net promoter score of 8 or above ("How likely are you to recommend Buddy Pegs for a bike purchase to your friends and family?")

Experience

• 1 year of professional retail experience or equivalent

• Knowledgeable about bikes, brands and what gear is helpful for families

• History working in dynamic environment requiring flexibility

• History working around families and children

• Sales (both B2B and B2C preferred)

Compensation

• $15-18/hr DOE

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
