Responsibilities
- Install new appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens according to manufacturer specifications and schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances using mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct equipment repairs, including refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and assemble appliances or equipment as needed.
- Safely operate delivery trucks or box trucks for transporting appliances to customer sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience during every interaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems and refrigeration repair techniques.
- Prior delivery driver experience with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and perform assembly or disassembly of appliances confidently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex appliance issues effectively.
- Field service experience is highly desirable but not necessary; willingness to travel locally for installations and repairs is essential.
