Job Title: Maintenance II Location: Newtown Campus Shift: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Bucks County Community College is seeking a dependable and experienced staff member to join our Facility Services Maintenance team. This position is responsible for the everyday maintenance of our campus buildings to ensure a pleasant positive experience for students, staff and visitors. These services include but are not limited to painting, carpentry, drywall, roofing, concrete and block repair, widow repair, doors and locks, moves, event support and any other tasks designated by the Physical Plant Administrative staff. Essential Duties Perform and complete routine maintenance work orders independently and provide information to campus constituents. Use skills and knowledge to complete or troubleshoot routine and emergency building repairs. Assist Maintenance I staff or complete repairs in maintenance and construction projects using skills and experience, in sheetrock replacement and repair, paint, minor electrical, minor plumbing, carpentry, roofing, repair ceramic and vinyl tile, wall texture, door hardware repairs and installation. Operate power tools safely and efficiently. Use aerial lifts, forklifts and other maintenance equipment safely to maintain campus buildings. Respond to storm related needs for the campuses including but not limited to power outages, snow, storm damage etc. Perform any related duties as directed. Minimum Qualifications 3 relevant maintenance licenses & 5 yrs of advanced level of relevant maintenance experience in areas such as (but not limited to): roofing, carpentry with special knowledge and skills with carpentry equipment, plumbing experience level able to support Maintenance I level or ability to perform minor plumbing tasks independently. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot advanced levels of maintenance issues, extensive general overall maintenance experience. Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks. Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Demonstrate the experience with aerial lifts to perform job duties and acquire licenses as required for the maintenance position. PA background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screening are required. Base starting salary: $32.53 per hour. May qualify for additional hourly compensation based on certifications.
