Job Summary:
The Front Desk Greeter is responsible for providing professional, welcoming, and efficient front door support within Snyder-Girotti Elementary School, where the Bucks IU operated multiple school age classrooms. This role is central to maintaining positive communication of all parents, school district personnel, staff, and supervisors visiting or calling the Bucks IU office.
This position supports a minimum of six Bucks IU school age classrooms located in the building. The role is reviewed annually and may be reclassified to a paraprofessional position if the need for a dedicated Greeter is no longer necessary.
Essential Functions

Essential Functions
- Greets building visitors, announces visitors to building staff, directs individuals to appropriate meeting rooms
- Communicates necessary information concerning Bucks IU programs, services, and staff to the public
- Ensures site visitor log-in processes are followed by visitors to the building
- Assists with mail and delivers to school building
- Completes forms and reports for staff use
- Files papers for inventory
- Supports the implementation of school-wide events
- Assists with school operations and safety by monitoring building entrances/exits
- Supports staff in monthly safety drills
- Monitors and accounts for staff and students within building
- Handles office machine maintenance for any minor repairs needed or supplies to be ordered
- Serves as liaison between Bucks IU and Snyder Girotti Elementary School Administration and office staff in daily school activities, schedules, and transportation issues
- Provides occasional classroom support as a paraprofessional when needed, assisting staff and students under the direction of the classroom teacher and Supervisor of Special Education.
