We are seeking a Lead Culinary Server to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Lead Culinary Server, you will play an important role in all phases of serving that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

• Must be upbeat, courteous, and positive.
• Possesses great guest relation and communications skills.
• Deliver hospitality, enhance every guest experience.
• Be able to navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items. Demonstrate extensive menu knowledge.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders. Be able to send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system.
• Partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work well with others.
• Must be able to adhere to our Buckner Service Standards.
• Responsible for all side-work duties assigned and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all dining areas, some kitchen areas.
  
  

What you'll bring:

• Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. food handler's certificate.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English; ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
• Requires ability to effectively communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Requires ability to make self clearly understood by others.
• Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.
• Requires ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
• Work deals mostly with objects, equipment and/or machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance.
• Requires ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, and walk over 75% of shift.
• Requires ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operational problems or safety concerns.
• Requires ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks.
• Requires ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate and work with other employees.
