Position Summary
As a Maintenance Storeroom Clerk, you will contribute to the success of Buckman’s product supply chain by successfully working within the maintenance team; collaborating across all functions, levels, and shifts, leadership team, operations, vendor and contractor workforce, and other stakeholders to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, and quality maintenance support; identifying and implementing continuous improvements in maintenance purchasing practices while reducing overstock and inventory
Key Outcomes/Responsibilities
Outcome: Inventory Maintenance Materials
Actions: Works within and improves the current excel tracking system of all incoming and outgoing parts from parts inventory cage.
Outcome: Critical Parts and Equipment Stocked to minimize downtime
Actions: Constantly review current equipment and inventory in order to best determine if current parts are the critical equipment inventory needed, or if the list needs to be minimized or revised.
Outcome: Expense control – Multiple quotes, Best Practices, Multiple Solution Achievement
Actions: Work with varying contractor and vendor groups to determine the best path forward in both of price and lead times in order to meet plant goals and timelines.
Outcome: Weekly maintenance forecast and scheduling with production supervisor
Actions: Make sure that parts are ordered and scheduled to be here in order to minimize plant downtime and reliability issues.
Outcome: Regulatory / compliance requirements as needed for the maintenance team
Actions: Review PSM compliance documents for what types of materials can be used for specific materials on site. Use regulatory documents to confirm that there is no material of construction conflicts when working on highly reactive systems.

Basic Qualifications
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Job Experience: 4 - 6 years
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills applied to equipment and interconnected processes
- Lean production fundamentals (5S, Continuous Improvement, Safety First mindset, waste elimination, etc.)
- Strong Communicator -- Able to work with contractors, team members, and leadership on a daily basis.
- Time Management – Able to change tasks quickly while not losing ground on a daily basis for plant needs.
- SAP/Concur – Working knowledge of system
- Buckman administrative systems (Ceridian, PMTz, HR Status, etc.)
- Basic spreadsheet techniques for data analysis
- DOT/IMDG regulations / implementation
- Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
