Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute maintenance and repair tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify issues related to erosion control, structural integrity, or equipment malfunction
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Repair, install, or maintain equipment using power tools and manual tools with precision and care
- Implement erosion control measures and assist with industrial construction projects following safety protocols
- Climb ladders or scaffolding as needed for repairs or inspections while maintaining safety regulations such as respiratory protection and fall prevention measures
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection requirements, and general workplace safety policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial construction or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with erosion control techniques and implementing safety standards on-site
- Experience with heavy lifting, climbing, and manual handling tasks in a construction environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices including OSHA standards, respiratory protection protocols, and general safety regulations
- Strong communication skills to interpret technical instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
