Position Overview
As a CDL Bulk Truck Operator, you will:
Handle packaged explosive products
Load and drive bulk trucks
Operate pumping units on job sites
Assist blasters with loading and stemming blast holes
Perform routine truck maintenance and keep units clean
This is a hands‑on, outdoor role requiring physical activity in all weather conditions, including lifting 50 lbs, bending, squatting, and working closely with a blasting crew. With time and experience, there are strong opportunities for career advancement.
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements
Preferred, but we will train the right candidate
Must be able to obtain CDL Hazmat within 6 months of hire
Must meet all State and Federal explosive regulations and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor
Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and maintain a clean MVR
Reliable, customer‑oriented, and safety‑focused
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and company procedures
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations
Safely operate assigned equipment
Maintain vehicles: refuel, wash, and perform basic upkeep
Load/unload trucks and maintain accurate inventory
Work with a crew on customer job sites
Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or violations immediately
Compensation
$27.00 – $33.00 per hour, depending on experience
