This position is responsible for supervision of Quality Control Specialists. This role coordinates and audits documentation on entries, as assigned. This position will be assisting and maintaining the quality and accuracy of import entries. Furthermore, the position handles requests for missing information and ensures that all data is accurate.

What you’ll be doing
This position is responsible for supervision of Quality Control Specialists. This role coordinates and audits documentation on entries, as assigned. This position will be assisting and maintaining the quality and accuracy of import entries. Furthermore, the position handles requests for missing information and ensures that all data is accurate.

- Prepare customs, internal documents and maintain customer’s product database.
- Classify and research tariffs and respond promptly to all queries.
- Act as liaison between CBP and operations to maintain service to all US accounts including client information, missing information requests, and reporting custom service needs.
- Report any problems or issues directly to their manager and communicate suggestions for operational improvement and assist in implementation of changes.
- Attend ongoing training to increase knowledge of new customs polices and/or regulations.
- On-call responsibilities (evenings and weekends).
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Showcase your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Identify potential challenges/risks and solve problems efficiently or work with Leaders for a solution.
- Foster a fast paced culture leading by example in terms of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
- Effectively prioritize and manage the team multiple and personal tasks to meet KPI's and deadlines.
- To provide the highest level of customer service by leading and mentoring, fostering a positive and productive work environment and resolving escalated issues as needed.
- Ability to manage a group of 5 to 10 employees
- Assist with performance evaluations for direct reports
- Assign tasks to team members
- Assists with training and guidance of direct reports
- Monitor work volumes of direct reports
- Supervise team members, conduct team meetings, monitor attendance, and work schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Designation (must maintain yearly status).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in custom brokerage or logistics experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control.
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
- Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CND/USA/MX.
