The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare and hospice experience, with a proven ability to build lasting relationships with physicians, hospital teams, skilled nursing facilities, and community partners. This individual will be responsible for driving growth through strategic provider outreach, compassionate patient advocacy, and the ability to clearly communicate the benefits of hospice services. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, autonomy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting patients and families during advanced illness.
Key Responsibilities
Works independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment to support overall organizational goals.
Conducts sales calls and relationship building visits to skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, independent living communities, and other referral sources within the service area.
Analyzes the potential of the company’s service area to identify target markets and high value referral opportunities.
Visits physicians’ offices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and additional community partners to present agency credentials and promote hospice services.
Reviews and interprets past and current marketing data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Analyzes patient and company relationships to improve satisfaction, communication, and referral outcomes.
Regularly reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing activities and adjusts plans based on results.
Supports office staff as needed by visiting physicians’ offices to obtain signatures, deliver IDG updates, or assist with other urgent needs.
Provides community outreach and education, promoting hospice philosophy and the agency’s services to the public and local organizations.
Qualifications
Healthcare experience and knowledge of hospice care are required.
