RN/Respiratory Therapist - NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE
Buckeye Home Medical is a Durable Medical Equipment Company seeking an energetic, hard-working, individual for a full time Respiratory Therapist position in our Fairfield Glade location. In this position you will be responsible for providing clinical patient services and support within the location. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. You must be able to work a 40 hour week and be available for on-call responsibilities as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes on call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours as needed
- Conducts patient assessment per the physician’s orders
- Maintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities and as required for state licensure or certifications
- Maintains documentation of all services provided
- Maintains records and workspace in an organized, safe, clean and neat fashion
- Provides in-home and location visits with patients when needed
- Responsible for setting up all PAP devices including all mask fittings
- Responsible for setting up all Non-Invasive Vents
- Responsible for setting up all Oxygen set ups 6 LPM or more
- Provides patient education as applicable
- Respiratory equipment use, maintenance and safety
- Educates the patient on importance of compliance and potential consequences of noncompliance
- Explain the benefits of therapy
- Verify insurance which includes calling insurance companies to verify coverage for the item receiving. This position also will collect and process co-pays as required.
- Communication – working with patients on the phone and in person depending on the patient needs.
- Work with customers/referral sources to process orders and schedule deliveries.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must have credentials as a RT, RRT, CRT or RN is acceptable. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with physicians, employees and patients in a timely manner. Must have an attitude of being helpful, knowledgeable and polite. Must be proficient with multi-tasking along with attention to detail. Works independently and as part of a team.
