Step into a day as our Electronic Test and Validation Technician
You begin by bringing test benches online—calibrating multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and fixtures to ensure every reading is precise. A set of defined procedures guides your work as you execute functional and reliability tests on products and systems. You capture clean data, compare results against specifications, and quickly flag anomalies. When something doesn’t behave as expected, you dive into troubleshooting, collaborate with engineers, and help shape improvements to designs and procedures. Throughout, you keep the lab safe, organized, and compliant with quality and regulatory standards.
What you’ll do- Execute a wide range of tests and inspections on products, equipment, and systems following established methods and standards.
- Set up, verify, and calibrate test equipment to maintain accurate and repeatable measurements.
- Document measurements, observations, and outcomes clearly and in a timely manner.
- Detect, record, and communicate defects, malfunctions, and deviations from requirements.
- Diagnose technical issues and recommend corrective actions to restore performance.
- Work closely with engineers and teammates to interpret results and adjust test approaches as needed.
- Maintain, repair, and update test tools, fixtures, and stations to ensure readiness.
- Follow safety protocols and keep the workspace clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Contribute to creating and refining test procedures and workflows.
- Uphold quality control practices and comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification in a related discipline is preferred.
- Hands-on experience as a Test Technician or in a comparable testing role.
- Strong grasp of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency using instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and related tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and product specifications.
- Comfort with computer software for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in following procedures.
- Proven troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Solid understanding of quality control principles.
