Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Waste Disposal Sales Representative for Buckeye Fluid Solutions, located in the Greater Columbus Area. The Waste Disposal Sales Representative will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as identifying potential customers, developing and maintaining client relationships, providing information and solutions to customers, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.
*Preference will be given to candidates with sales experience and some level of waste handling, liquid waste handling or oil & gas experience or a closely related field.
Essential Functions & Duties:
- Sell and market Company’s waste disposal, transportation and processing services achieving and exceeding revenue and profit margin goals
- Establish and maintain relationships with liquid waste generators in Ohio and surrounding states
- Develops comprehensive sales plan, with individual customer objectives
- Prepares and conducts sales presentations to customers
- Works in tandem with Operations to manage the customer service cycle, including sampling, profiling, proposal preparation, pricing, contracting, and assisting customers with regulatory issues that affect our clients
- Analyze and develop estimates of waste processing costs
- Assists in oversight of field activities
- Collaborates with Operations on new market development
- Represents the Company at industry events
- Performs special projects as directed by the director of sales & marketing
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and practices including RCRA
- Knowledge of the waste disposal industry
- Prior experience in wastewater management or environmental services is a must
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and analyze customer needs to provide tailored solutions
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
