This is a hands-on, physical role at the heart of our operation — responsible for getting accurate, high-quality product out the door on time and to spec every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut and process fresh fish and seafood — filleting, trimming, portioning, and skinning to customer specifications
- Pick and put up customer orders accurately from the cooler, matching product, weight, and count to the pick sheet or order ticket
- Package and label product properly — weighing, wrapping, bagging, and boxing to order, and recording catchweights accurately for traceability
- Pack orders with proper ice/gel packs and packaging to maintain the cold chain and product integrity through delivery
- Rotate stock and follow FIFO to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow all food-safety, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Stage completed orders for delivery routes and coordinate with drivers and dispatch as needed
- Assist with receiving, restocking, and inventory counts when needed

- Standing, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly (boxes of fish, ice, product totes)
- Comfortable handling raw fish and seafood and working with knives and processing tools
Qualifications
- Prior experience in seafood or meat cutting, food processing, or a warehouse/cooler environment preferred — but we'll train the right person
- Knife skills a strong plus; willingness to learn proper cutting technique required
- Attention to detail and accuracy with weights, counts, and labeling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving operation
- Team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to food safety and quality
- Basic comfort with handheld scanners and scales a plus
