Role Description The Credit & Accounts Receivable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cleveland, OH. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts receivable process, drive collections, and evaluate customer credit risk. Day-to-day tasks include posting payments, reconciling account balances, and following up on past-due accounts in a professional manner. The specialist will communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies, answer account questions, and coordinate with internal teams such as sales and finance to ensure accurate account information.
Qualifications
- Strong credit management skills, including evaluating credit worthiness and managing credit limits.
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail for reviewing accounts, reconciliations, and aging reports.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles related to invoicing, cash application, and collections.
- Customer service skills for handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive, professional relationships.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for reporting and data management.
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work accurately in a fast-paced, transactional environment.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit, or related finance roles preferred; manufacturing or B2B experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business is beneficial.
