Position Overview:
The Territory Sales Manager will work closely with Regional Sales Managers, distributor sales teams, and key accounts to drive growth, manage retail execution, and build lasting relationships with customers. This role requires strong sales acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Retail Execution & Market Monitoring: Assist in chain resets, monitor voids/gaps, and ensure consistent execution using reset schedules and execution files.
- Distributor & Account Management: Train and motivate distributor sales teams, maintain relationships with key accounts, and drive new business opportunities.
- Sales Forecasting & Performance Analysis: Conduct sales forecasts, trade planning, and store checks while documenting insights in the KARMA/VIP app.
- Sales Strategy & Market Expansion: Develop and execute sales strategies, pursue new business opportunities, and represent the brand at key industry events.
- Merchandising & Promotional Activities: Coordinate promotions and merchandising efforts to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Market Research & Industry Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform business strategies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or beverage industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage distributor sales teams.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role with frequent travel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in sales tracking tools and reporting software (e.g., KARMA/VIP app).
- Availability to attend trade shows, market events, and conduct frequent in-field visits.
