Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our dynamic research team. Responsibilities
- Perform tissue culture and mammalian cell culture to maintain healthy cell lines for experiments
- Conduct protein purification and Western blot analyses to investigate protein expression and interactions
- Execute assays such as ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, and microscopy to gather quantitative and qualitative data
- Transfect cells using various transfection methods to study gene function and regulation
- Support clinical research activities by reviewing documentation, monitoring patient samples, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Assist in molecular biology procedures including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR amplification, and chromatin analysis
- Analyze complex datasets using R, Python, SAS, or other statistical software for data interpretation and reporting
Experience
- Prior research laboratory experience in cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields is required
- Hands-on expertise in tissue culture, protein purification, ELISA, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, and microscopy is essential
- Familiarity with clinical trials processes and clinical research protocols is preferred
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to review scientific documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Experience working with animal physiology or transfection techniques will be considered a plus
- Proficiency in R, Python, SAS or similar data analysis tools is highly desirable
