What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roofing & Siding Repair Technician position at Buck Roofing & Siding?
About the role
Our company is looking for a skilled, self-motivated repair technician to run service appointments for homeowners. You’ll inspect the home, diagnose the issue, quote the repair from our price book, and complete the work on-site whenever possible. Because you’ll be running appointments from start to finish, there may be an opportunity to earn commission depending on experience and pay structure. A company vehicle is provided.
What you’ll work on
- Roof and siding inspections
- Asphalt shingle repair
- Flat roof repair: EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen
- Siding repair and installation, including James Hardie
- Aluminum capping and window capping
- AZEK trim repair
- Fascia installation and soffit repair
- Window installation
- Gutter repair/installation and gutter guard installation
- Interior repairs: drywall, spackle, window and door trim (light framing a plus)
Requirements
- Experience in the trades listed above (the more, the better)
- Ability to operate a metal brake (required)
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company van
- Able to inspect, diagnose problems, and communicate clearly with homeowners
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
