About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Staff Accountant who is eager to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining exposure to inventory-related financial processes. This role is a great fit for a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys digging into numbers, solving discrepancies, and working closely with different departments to keep financial information accurate and organized.
You'll be part of a collaborative accounting team and will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of the business, including inventory transactions, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with month-end close and general accounting activities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research variances
- Review inventory activity and help identify inconsistencies between operational and accounting records
- Partner with warehouse and operations teams to support inventory accuracy
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory reviews
- Maintain spreadsheets and reports used by the accounting department
- Support audit requests and other accounting projects as needed
- Help improve processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Internship, co-op, or up to 2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and large amounts of data
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Excel and accounting software is a plus
