Trial Lawyer

Company Description Bucher Law PLLC focuses on mass arbitrations. We do more than 10 arbitration hearings a year against large corporate defendants and are frequently in court in collateral litigation related to these arbitrations.

Ideal Candidates Any of these three types of people are ideal:

1. someone with a good amount of trial experience in complex commercial litigation;

2. someone with extensive trial experience (insurance or personal injury trial lawyers) but little complex commercial litigation experience, who is confident they can quickly grasp and present complex economic and commercial issues;

3. someone with extensive complex commercial litigation experience (antitrust law for example), but little trial experience but who is a good public speaker and wants more trial experience.

Role Description The Trial Lawyer will collaborate with colleagues on complex legal issues, drive cases forward across a range of deadlines and jurisdictions, and above all: do trials. The Trial Lawyer will handle a docket of arbitration and litigation matters from intake through resolution in a full-time, full remote position. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, contributing to strategy, and representing clients in arbitration hearings and related court hearings.

Qualifications

• Self starter - the less hand holding the better, you will be expected to hit the ground running, the more confident and independent you are, the better.
• Experience providing clear, cogent analysis of complex legal and factual issues in contentious and complex matters.
• LLM or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission somewhere in the U.S.
• Legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with consumer protection or complex litigation, is a plus.
