Buchart Horn is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer to support the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. What You’ll Do:
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented engineers to join our dynamic Water Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects that support essential water and wastewater systems. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and meet all quality standards.
Assist with or manage the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality oversight (level of responsibility based on experience)
Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports
Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and design evaluations
Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout project phases
Monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide recommendations
Support proposal development and contribute to pursuit strategies as needed
Stay current on water and wastewater regulations, design technologies, and best practices
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
