Job Summary
As an AV Support Technician with Buchanan Technologies, you will be responsible for supporting audiovisual operations and a variety of end-user technologies. You will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware/software solutions in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and learning environments, ensuring a smooth and reliable technology experience for our clients. In addition to AV systems, you will support monitors, PCs/laptops, iPads/tablets, and Android/iPhone mobile devices, and use ServiceNow as the primary ITSM tool to manage requests.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain AV systems and integrated endpoints in meeting rooms, huddle spaces, learning areas, and shared workspaces.
- Ensure the reliability of AV platforms, including systems with embedded computers and connected peripherals like printers.
- Support a wide range of end-user technology, including monitors, desktops, laptops, iPads, tablets, Android/iPhones.
- Utilize ServiceNow to manage, track, and resolve service requests and incidents.
- Adhere to standards set by Senior AV Solutions Engineers, escalating issues appropriately and contributing to knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify and address root causes of technical issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Perform hands-on repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance of AV and end-user equipment.
- Deliver basic AV and tech usage training to end-users as needed.
- Accurately document work performed and maintain detailed logs in the ticketing system.
Skills
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience in AV systems, IT support, or related fields.
- Proven troubleshooting and repair skills across AV platforms and IP/network-connected devices.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable interacting with users at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow technical documentation, and work independently.
- Highly organized and capable of balancing routine tasks with urgent support needs.
