A prestigious international law firm is seeking a Paralegal II – Litigation & Trial (IP) to join its Washington, D.C. office. This role supports the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group, providing hands-on case support in all phases of litigation, from discovery and document management to trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys and senior paralegals on patent litigation matters from case inception through trial.
- Coordinate and assist in the discovery process, including managing e-discovery platforms and reviewing documents for production.
- Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and related filings in compliance with court and procedural rules.
- Assist with PTAB petition filings, responses, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with USPTO and procedural standards.
- Extract and analyze relevant IP data from official USPTO databases and Google Patent.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information while managing case materials and records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- 4 years of Paralegal experience, with at least 2 years supporting patent litigation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state filing requirements, e-discovery, cite checking, and Bluebooking.
- Demonstrated experience with patent terminology, PTAB proceedings, and IP-specific document preparation.
- A proactive, highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
