Overview
We are seeking skilled Diesel Technicians to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with light and medium-duty diagnostics , and the ability to work on complex systems. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Utilize schematics to understand electrical systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Repair and maintain vehicle components including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and working in a shop environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including tractor-trailer systems.
- Experience with brake repair and equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting.
- Fabrication skills including welding and soldering are highly desirable.
- Previous dealership or service technician experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
