GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care in the Pain Clinic unit and the Infusion Services Department. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.32 hours per week, Dayshift, Days may vary in Pain Clinic8 hours per week, Dayshift, Days may vary with every 4th weekend on-call for Infusion Services

EDUCATION and TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

- Graduate of a school of Nursing with an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) at an accredited college.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Active Registered Nurse License in the State of Iowa or valid compact RN license.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- One year prior professional nursing experience required.
- Previous pain clinic nursing experience preferred. Other clinic or procedural area experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of nursing practice required.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others.
- Maintains commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement.
- Excellent team player and communication skills required.
Salary Range
$29.51 - $44.94
