- GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- The Lifeguard ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Monitors clients during swimming and aquatics classes. The Lifeguard is also responsible to perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning as directed.
- EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old with 6 months to 1 year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required.
- Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques required.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures required.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures preferred.
Wage Range: $16.00-$22.40
Location: Buchanan County Health Center · BC PHYSICAL THER
Schedule: PRN, Varied Shifts, 5:00pm-7:00pm 1-2 Nights/Week & 7:00am-10:00am Occasional Saturdays
