What are the responsibilities and job description for the Probate Paralegal position at Bucelo Diaz Law?
We seek a highly organized and proactive Probate Paralegal to support probate and trust administration cases. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and assist clients through all phases of the probate process—from court filings to final estate closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file probate court documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and closing documents
- Maintain accurate estate and trust files, calendars, and deadlines
- Draft correspondence and informal summaries for beneficiaries
- Assist in gathering financial and asset information, including appraisals and creditor claims
- Communicate with executors, beneficiaries, court staff, and other stakeholders
- Use legal software and e‐filing systems for probate proceedings
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience as a probate, estates, or trusts paralegal
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent education/experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with court filing procedures and legal software (e‐filing, document management, Clio/PracticePanther etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong client‐service orientation
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage shifting priorities
