Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Host to join our dynamic restaurant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and give tour to escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Assist with guest inquiries, providing information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and answering questions regarding the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Utilize Toast host POS systems for managing waitlists and reservations as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others contribute to a great team atmosphere.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
