Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as cooking, assembling dishes, and portioning meals in accordance with safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools
• Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality in meal production
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to meet food safety regulations
• Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies, restocking ingredients, and ensuring an efficient workflow
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep activities and meet service timelines

Experience

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong food handling skills
• Knowledge of menu planning, food safety management, and adhering to safety standards in production environments
• Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience in catering or large-scale food production is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and maintaining a smooth operation

Pay: $13.50 - $16.50 per hour
