Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication and welding techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels with precision.
- Conduct sanding, auto painting, auto glass installation, and automotive refinishing to achieve a flawless finish.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to prepare surfaces and apply finishes efficiently.
- Execute automotive cosmetic repairs such as scratch removal, dent repair, and detailing to enhance vehicle appearance.
- Assist with auto parts installation, vehicle maintenance, and assembly tasks ensuring proper fitment and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding repair, fabrication repair techniques, and when working with automotive parts or materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role within a dealership or independent shop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal fabrication, and auto restoration processes.
- Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment.
- Familiarity with auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying and automotive refinishing methods.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for maintenance tasks such as auto glass replacement or parts installation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.
