Job Summary:
Performs material control functions including, but not limited to, receiving, inspecting, delivery, material movement, storing, issuing packaging, and shipping.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Receives material by unloading carriers, verifying paperwork, visually checking for damage and performing data entry transactions into a computerized business system.
Inspects material utilizing standard test equipment, hand tools and other mechanical tools.
Performs solderability testing on incoming and obsolete stores material.
Unpacks material for storage or delivery to work centers, and moves materials as directed.
Transports material within the facility. May, occasionally, transport between Massachusetts locations.
Counts and weighs, measures, sorts, packages, and labels material for inventory, storage, issue, and release to manufacturing .
Performs basic electrical inspection of purchased components to written procedures.
Performs the induction step
Packages materials in compliance with SPI (special packaging instructions), or other documented procedures
Performs related data entry transactions for required task
Assists in physical inventory as directed.
Assembles shipping containers and packages product for shipment according to contractual requirements.
Loads, braces, and secures outgoing shipments onto carriers.
Cleans, services, and maintains assigned tools, equipment, machinery and work areas.
Controls and releases tools and equipment to the workcenter, calibration lab and the respective tool cribs.
Performs general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.
Maintains records, moves materials and follows safety rules in performance of duties.
Performs other similar duties as required or directed.
Machines, Tools and Equipment used but not limited to: Utilizes electronic, power, and manual equipment for receiving, inspecting, storing, kitting, product movement, packaging, and shipping of material, tooling and equipment
Qualifications You Must Have :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling and storage.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Additional Details:
This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. Individuals hired into this position will be represented by a union.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
