Registered Dental Hygienist
We are looking for an outgoing and friendly Dental Hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our fast-paced dental office. Experience is preferred, and a current dental hygienist license is required. We are seeking someone to cover three days per week, with the possibility of increasing days in the future.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Properly sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Conduct initial oral health screenings and review patient health histories
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
- Provide post-treatment instructions following dental procedures
- Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed
- Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various oral health conditions
- Maintain accurate patient charts and documentation
- Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role preferred
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
- Experience preparing, maintaining, and using dental equipment
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Master's degree is a plus)
- Valid Dental Hygienist license
Schedule
- Part-time

Compensation
$60–$70 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
