Are you a high-performing sales professional who speaks the language of mechanical systems? BTU Reps is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to dominate the Tampa Bay to Naples corridor.
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in St. Petersburg, we aren't your typical "brochure-dropping" agency. We represent the best products in the industry, and we need a closer who can match our technical depth and drive.
The Territory
- Primary Focus: Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Fort Myers, and Naples.
- Market: Commercial and Industrial HVAC/R, working closely with wholesale partners and contractors.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Market: Identify and hunt for new sales opportunities while nurturing a loyal existing customer base.
- Be the Expert: Conduct technical product demonstrations and provide consultative solutions—not just part numbers.
- Drive the Process: From lead generation and prospecting to preparing high-stakes proposals and closing the deal.
- Stay Connected: Leverage CRM tools and social media to interact with manufacturers and stay ahead of market trends.
What We’re Looking For
- The Closer: A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets in industrial or commercial markets.
- Technical IQ: You don’t need to be an engineer, but you must have a high technical aptitude for mechanical systems. HVAC/R experience is a major plus.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with everyone from warehouse managers to business owners.
- Self-Starter: The ability to work independently across the Gulf Coast territory while remaining a vital part of our St. Pete-based team.
- The Basics: Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, or related), proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office, and a hunter’s mentality.
