Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's activities
- Lead and inspire a team of employees, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with the board of directors to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan
- Identify opportunities for development and growth (collaborations, partnerships, and grants)
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Monitor and evaluate organizational performance, making recommendations for improvement
- Represent the organization in public forums and events
-Evaluate grantmaking procedures, applications, and follow-up
-Tell our story - market the impact and programs of BTLF
- Create volunteer opportunities and new programs, while managing existing service-work
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as an executive director or similar position
- Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team (volunteers) towards achieving organizational goals
- Experience in strategic planning, project management, and process improvement
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred)
