Production Setup I - Fabrication

Summary:
Under general supervision, sets up equipment and insures the production of quality parts. Inspects parts and adjusts the
equipment as required for an efficient operation. Operate grinders, tumblers, belt sanders, hand grinders and wire wheel
equipment that sands and smoothes to reduce thickness of material and for producing quality parts.

corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3)
Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.
Essential Functions:
1. Visualizes and interprets blueprints and sketches.
2. Analyzes, trouble shoots and resolves problems with equipment in production area.
3. Adjusts accordingly to changing production requirements.
4. Verify all necessary paperwork, prints, patterns or check fixtures are present for part being set up. Must verify
that all are to current revision level.
5. Manufacture and inspects parts to blueprints and/or sketches using Operator Inspection Instructions (OII) as
reference.
6. Displays ability to set-up and operate all types and sizes of equipment in the production area in a safe and
efficient manner.
7. Ability and willingness to assist with the training of operators as required.
8. Ensures setup and production processes are being followed.
9. Ensures appropriate exchange of information at shift and/or operator change.
10. Ensures safe setups and operations in area.
11. Enforces and practices 5-pillars concept through daily/weekly maintenance and cleaning schedules.
12. Must be capable of using BTD operating software to enter time/payroll information, job information, etc.
13. Performs the jobs personally as well as through delegation or interaction with others to include running parts.
14. Displays ability and willingness to establish and maintain good working relationships with other areas in the
Company.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
1. Pass math measurement/blueprint with 85% or better
2. Perform Production operator 3 skill sets
3. Ability to set up independently, efficiently and safely
4. Must attend 8 weeks of setup training - pass setup test
Experience and Skills Required:
At least one and a half years of recent related mechanical and shop experience which includes the following skills and
abilities
1. Ability to organize and run work in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Excellent working knowledge of production processes.
3. Excellent working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production operations.
4. Excellent working knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper
safety precautions such as lights, guards, switches, tonnage monitor, etc.
5. Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC6: $25.60 - $35.85 related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
