Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct routine floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks in specialized areas requiring heavy-duty cleaning techniques
- Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock materials as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness operations
- Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring safety standards are met
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors safely and efficiently
- Support with porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services, preferably within commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and use of cleaning equipment like buffers and vacuums
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
