About the Role:
BSW Staffing is currently seeking qualified and dedicated candidates for a Maintenance Paint Line Technician position on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client. This is a hands-on role ideal for skilled maintenance professionals who excel in mechanical troubleshooting and enjoy working with automated paint line systems in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Maintenance & Repair
- Install, dismantle, repair, and maintain heavy industrial machinery, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems
- Perform precision alignment and calibration of machinery to meet operational specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated paint line systems
Welding & Fabrication
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes to repair, modify, and fabricate metal components
- Cut, grind, and assemble metal parts to support equipment modifications and repairs
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses
- Replace seals, gaskets, and worn components to ensure optimal system performance
Electrical Systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical components such as motors, switches, relays, and control panels
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and applicable electrical codes
Documentation & Safety
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
- Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly
QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or a related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with millwright work, welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, and paint booth/paint line systems required
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and techniques
Certifications (Preferred)
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
- Forklift and overhead crane operation certification
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Clear and effective communication skills
