Solutions Engineer II - ERP Customization & Integration ***Contract to Hire***

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
The Solutions Engineer II is a mid-level role responsible for delivering moderately complex ERP solutions. This individual works with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and drive integration initiatives. The role blends hands-on development with business process understanding to support scalable BST ERP growth.
Essential Functions
ERP Development and Customization:
- Develop custom ERP modules, and Integrations.
- Create and refine reports, scripts, and automated workflows.
- Contribute to integration and data migration activities.
System Analysis and Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and resolve ERP issues affecting users and operations.
- Perform testing and validation for system changes.
- Ensure data integrity across ERP-related systems.
Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define detailed requirements.
- Lead small discovery sessions to gather process and system inputs.
- Provide technical assistance during ERP upgrades and rollouts.
Estimating and Planning:
- Contribute to estimates for development tasks and timelines.
- Identify dependencies and propose solutions to reduce risk.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and change logs.
- Adhere to data governance and security policies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Research tools and features that improve system performance.
- Recommend enhancements to ERP functionality based on user feedback.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of ERP platforms (e.g. BST, Deltek, NetSuite, Dynamics 365).
- Proficient in SQL, C#, REST/SOAP APIs, SSRS, and other languages.
- Experience with API design/consumption.
- Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communicator with both technical and business stakeholders.
Team Support/Leadership
- Offer peer support and share technical knowledge with junior staff.
- Contribute to onboarding documentation and knowledge base.
- Represent the development team in cross-department meetings as needed.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Education or Prior Work Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
